Indications

Clearing heat and resolving phlegm, disperse the lung and relieve asthma. Used for mild cases of acute exacerbation of bronchial asthma in children, which are classified as lung-heat cough and panting according to traditional Chinese medicine syndrome differentiation.Symptoms: Coughing, wheezing, with thick and difficult - to - expectorate phlegm; with or without fever; yellow, reddish urine; dry and hard stools; red tongue body and yellow tongue fur.

Composition

Ephedrae Herba,  Armeniacae Semen Amarum, Raphani Semen, Descurainiae Semen, Perillae Folium, Scutellariae Radix, Mori Cortex, Gypsum Fibrosum,  Isatidis Folium,  Houttuyniae Herba, Glycyrrhizae Radix et Rhizoma.

Character

This product is a liquid ranging from brownish-brown to dark brown in color. It tastes sweet with a slight bitterness. After standing for a long time, there will be a small amount of precipitate that can be easily dispersed by shaking. 

Specification

Each vial contains 10 milliliters.

Usage and Dosage

Take it orally after meals. For children aged 3 to 6 years old, take 10 ml each time, three times a day; for those aged 7 to 10 years old, take 15 ml each time, three times a day; for those over 10 years old, take 20 ml each time, three times a day.

Adverse Reactions

Occasionally, a slight nausea symptom may occur after taking this product.

Pharmacological Effects

The results of pre-clinical animal experiments suggest that: This product can prolong the latent period of asthma induced by the combination of acetylcholine and histamine phosphate in guinea pigs; reduce the respiratory amplitude of guinea pigs with cough induced by electrical stimulation; increase the output of phenol red from the trachea of mice; prolong the latent period of asthma induced in mice sensitized with Trichosanthin IgE antiserum; inhibit the increase in the weight of the auricles of mice sensitized with acetone; and has a certain antipyretic effect on rats with fever induced by yeast.

Cautions

Those with acute massive hemorrhage should use this product with caution.

Slight turbidity may occur after this product has been stored for a long time, which is a normal phenomenon. Please shake it well before taking.

During the period of taking this medicine, if the vaginal bleeding is significantly more than usual, stop taking the medicine immediately and go to the hospital for treatment.

This product contains sucrose, so patients with diabetes should use it with caution.Those with an allergic constitution should use it with caution.

This product contains Red Peony Root (Chishao), Danshen (Salvia miltiorrhiza), and Turmeric Root Tuber (Yujin), and it is not advisable to take it simultaneously with traditional Chinese medicine formulas or patent medicines containing Black Falsehellebore Root (Lilu) and Cloves (Dingxiang).
